The United Nation Relief And Works Agency For Palestine Refugees In The Near East (UNRWA) lead several initiatives to assist and protect registered Palestinian refugees. Among these efforts relief and social services programs, health programs, educational initiatives, and finance programs. Since October 7th 2023, they have been facilitating the delivery of food aid to Gaza as well as providing a comprehensive dashboard detailing the state of food aid delivery, providing transparency into the situation in Gaza.
Israel has slandered them in the past, accusing them of working with HAMAS, a claim later shown to lack credibility by US intelligence. If this charity was specifically targeted by Israel, it must be doing effective good on the field. Despite the slander and surrounding controversy, the group still maintains a high score on Charity Navigator.
